The Control, Monitoring and Visualization Center is the research control room in the SEnSSiCC building. This IT infrastructure brings together all the information from the Energy Lab's systems. With the help of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) communication hardware, various clusters and field devices, data can be recorded and the systems controlled. The researchers can also securely feed in data from external components and databases via the Internet and take it into account.
In this way, new computer programs can be designed, developed, tested and optimized for the planning and operation of intelligent energy system solutions for the future. The focus here is on the availability of energy, energy requirements and environmental compatibility, but also on ensuring that energy remains affordable.
